Herbert Chair Floor Sample

Selldorf’s father, Herbert, designed the armchair that bears his name. An expertly tailored silhouette devoted to comfort. The back is broad and the seat is deep, fitted with a loose cushion. Cut square to maintain a consistent edge, the cushion can be welted for emphasis. The arms trace lean, plumb lines which come to rest on tapered legs at the front. Sabered legs extend a countervailing arc at the rear. A tiny pleat at the armrests lends this design great distinction. Carefully proportioned, the Herbert Chair anchors a variety of spaces, completing arrangements.
