Rhein Bank Woven Bench

An elegant bench of woven caning. This design applies traditional craftsmanship to modernist geometry. Offsetting the natural weave, metal rods in a uniform dark finish provide a rectilinear armature. Low-slung wings catch sitters at both ends, convening a comfortable spot for intimate exchange, or to throw down a coat.  Caning on the wings scrolls up and around to provide wand-like arm rests, while legs terminate in small, coin-shaped tabs. Adaptable to most interior settings, the Rhein Bank Woven Bench is a new member of the Cologne collection, named after the city where it is made according to time honored techniques, to-order, and by hand.
